How does your wind tunnel flight work?
1. Preparation for the flight
Upon arrival at the scheduled time, the team welcomes you and guides you through the first steps. You are given all the necessary equipment – a suit, helmet, and protective goggles. The instructor explains how the flight will proceed, demonstrates the basic body positions, and provides instructions on how to follow the signals inside the tunnel. Preparation usually takes 10 to 15 minutes and helps you relax and build confidence.
2. Entering the wind tunnel
Once ready, you and the instructor proceed to the tunnel. The strong air stream in the vertical space creates conditions in which your body floats. The instructor is by your side at all times and assists you during the first moments so you can get used to the sensation of floating.
3. Flight in the tunnel
As the airflow lifts your body, the real experience begins. The flight lasts from one to several minutes, depending on the chosen package. The instructor uses hand signals to help you maintain the correct position while you enjoy the sensation of freefall – without jumping from an airplane. Once you are comfortable, you may even try some basic maneuvers and feel how your body responds to the airflow.
4. End of the experience
After the flight, you discuss your impressions with the instructor and receive feedback. If you wish, you can order a video recording that captures the entire floating experience. It is a unique memory of the moment when you truly felt what it’s like to fly.
